R. Steven Anderson

Steven Anderson is the managing partner of the firm’s New York office. His practice concentrates on complex business disputes, and his experience in litigation, arbitration and ADR includes reinsurance, banking, letters of credit, corporate governance, antitrust, international commercial disputes, and claims before the Iran-United States Claims Tribunal.

Mr. Anderson has handled many reinsurance matters with expertise in scope of coverage, premium and commission accounting, claims allocation, net retention, adequacy of disclosure on placement, right of inspection, misrepresentation/fraud, pre-hearing security, and reinsurer insolvency. More recently, his work has extended to disputes arising from cross-sector credit risk transfers, particularly insurances incorporated into capital market transactions.

Mr. Anderson is a member of the Association of the Bar of the City of New York and of its Structured Finance Committee. He is featured in Euromoney’s Guide to the World’s Leading Insurance and Reinsurance Lawyers.
